Lunch/Dinner: ‘DEVILLED’ EGGS!


Goodmorning! So today I am going to share with you,

my version of Devilled eggs. Simple, spicy and delicious πŸ™‚

Eggs are a good source of protein, hence adding them in your diet is truly beneficial.Β I personally like hard-boiled eggs,

as they are very satisfying, whether you may like them for Lunch or Dinner.

Did I mention how EASY they are to prepare πŸ™‚

Also being a lover of spicy food, makes it a little difficult for me to just eat eggs plain or just with pepper and salt. Hence, I ‘Devilled’ things up a little it.

Time: 20 mins.


Eggs- 2 hard-boiled and their shells removed to cool down.

Jalapenos- 7-8 slices, roughly chopped.

Dried Oregano- 1/4 teaspoon

Black Pepper- a pinch

Salt- optional

How to prepare:

Slice both the eggs into bite-sized pieces (so around 4-6 pieces).

Add the oregano.

Sprinkle the black pepper.

Finally, add the chopped jalapenos and serve.

Enjoy the crunchiness and zestiness of the jalapenos, with the extra kick of the black pepper.

Appetizer: Cheesy Oatcake Bites


For me snacks/appetizers have always been about crisps, food deep-fried in oil filled with trans-fat. I remember a time, when I finished the whole box of Pringles crisps at one go :D.

I love my evening snacks and wanted something healthy yet delicious. It’s vegetarian and very easy to make. Hope you like it πŸ™‚

Time: 15-20 mins.


Nairns Oatcakes (I opted for the cheese flavoured) – 8 pieces

Britannia’s 50-50 Snackuits (I opted for the Pizza flavoured, others taste equally delicious) – 8 pieces

Green Olives sliced- 20-25 pieces

Homemade fresh coleslaw:

Regular Plain Yogurt: 1 cup

Carrots grated- 1 tablespoon

Cucumber grated- 1 tablespoon

Cabbage grated- 1 tablespoon

Black pepper- a good sprinkle

How to make:

Coleslaw: Mix the ingredients and keep to chill for sometime, for around 10 minutes.

Place the oatcakes on the plate, place coleslaw over the cakes. Add the olives and garnish with the snackuits.

Eat them right away or serve up for your health-conscious guests. They are delicious crunchy bites that destroy your hunger pangs right away.

P.S- These are the brands that I used, you can use the ones that are easily available to you.

I have always been curious and excited about advertising, so much that I went forward and completed my Diploma in it.

I love analyzing advertisements. may they be print, TV or radio or any other Below the Line form. If there is a profession where you get to analyze adverts of any category, I would love to be a part of it.

Analyzing in terms of who the target audience might be for this particular advert, whether it is engaging/interactive. The impact or the curiosity it generates to the viewer of that ad, regardless of whether they are the target audience or not. The simplicity of the idea or the clarity of the message, is what really intrigues me.

The ads that have made me look twice, flip the page or have had my attention for more than 10 seconds, are the ones that I would mention here.

Hakuna Matata World!


All my life I have struggled with my weight, with countless gym memberships and money gone to waste. I used to reduce around 2-3 kgs and gain it back.

Also being a foodie does make things just a little more difficult.

Finally, I have realized that it is the right balance between the food that you eat and the exercise that you do, which helps you remove off the excess weight and helps you to maintain it.
